Did y'all know Auburn has a losing record to Tulane? And their wiki lists it as a rivalry?

Tulane leads 17-15 with 6 ties.

Still not as pathetic as having a losing record to Tulane.

And even record with Vandy

Just googled Auburn vs Vandy to double-check that: found something.

Auburn, be serious now, does Vandy really have more conference championships than you?

ETA: this goes back to the original SIAA days through the present day SEC

Are all 17 of their wins since 1970?

Any of them?

Do you all remember the 6 INT Game. How can a coach be that stupid and still get to coach the next week ? I was there and still couldn't believe what I was watching.

You must be a youngster. Tulane was considered a football power back in the Southern Conference days. Auburn won the only games in the modern era (1964+). Those losses to Tulane occurred during the years 1924-1955; LSU’s record against Tulane in that time frame wasn’t much over .500...

In contrast, LSU has a losing record to Sewanee (3-6)...

Yes, it’s true. Vandy has 14 conference championships (all SIAA) to AU’s 12.

Just curious, how many CCs does LSU have? How many years ago did you surpass Vandy in that category?

Before somebody beats me to it,
Carlisle Indian School (Pa.), holds a winning
record against Alabama. Coached by
Pop Warner, Carlisle beat Alabama at Rickwood
Field in 1914.

Do games played before the facemask was invented really get you this excited?

Tulane had an excellent program many years ago. Not that shameful if you put it into historical context.

To be fair about it, Auburn won half a championship in the 1950's.

But, THAT's funny.

Right. Let us not forget, Minnesota dominated college football from the 30s to the early 40s. Ivy League schools used to rule the roost, Princeton and Yale still have double digit leads over Bama when it comes to number of football nattys.

As for Tulane being listed as rival for Auburn, well Tulsa is a rival for Arkansas. We've played them since the dawn of time and we will likely play them 2-3 times more (at least) over the next decade then we will any SEC East team not named Missouri.

What does this have to do with AU's record vs Tulane?
