ENOUGH!
I hate Trevor Lawrence because he looks like a woman with a learning disorder, but HE IS RIGHT! THE REAL ATHLETES NEED TO PLAY! THEy WANT TO PLAY!
I know what a lot of the sissy libs are saying. Sure, if you wanted to have a football season, maybe you shoulda started getting the virus under control 6 months ago when every other major industrialized country managed to. Sure, maybe you shoulda mandated masks or considered vulnerable old people a bit more. Sure, if this was Europe or basically every country in Asia, we’d be going to the beach, playing sports, drinking beer and enjoying bars and large gatherings, and the virus would barely be spreading. Sure, even compared to a bunch of third world countries with barely functional government we’ve still managed to frick this up with incompetence and corruption.
FAKE NEWS!!! We are BRAVER than that! And SMARTER! We had our great man in the WH, and he protected us with HdryoCholoriquine and bleach and golf!!
We wanted to ignore the virus, pretend lockdown for a few weeks, and then create a year-long crisis instead so we can keep going to Applebees!!! And that’s our god given right in this free country and that’s what DADDY WANTED!
Oh?? We wanted to have record breaking spread every month because we played down the seriousness??! DYING IS FAKE NEWS! FORGET the MASS GRAVES! It’s MEDIA HOAX! It’s just like HAVING A COLD! MSNBC is spreading the virus form PLANES! The Lung Transplant stories are HYSTERIA!
I’ll be DAMNED if I’ll be inconvenienced even ONE IOTA for Mammy and Pappy or Linda down the street with Asthma!!! SCREW Linda! SCREW MAMMY and PAPPY!
Now, after we have ignored it for so long, pretended its not real, and generally refused to take the most basic measures, you expect us to quit!! Right before football season!! RIGHT WHEN OUR FIGHT AGAINST REALITY MATTERS MOST??? HECK NO!
SCREW THAT!!! Do they think our minds are full of ideas! WE NEED TO LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH 19 year olds getting brain damage!!! Do they think we have a strong enough identity and sense of self that we can survive without college sports???!!! What do they expect us to do to stave off the realization that our lives are meaningless!!! Watch TENNIS!?
We can’t even remember what happened last week! What do they expect us to do, entertain ourselves with fricken BOOKS and MEMORIES like some FRENCH DANDY BOY?? Oh, why don’t you learn a new language or start a new hobby or get into shape. SCREW THAT!

never mind that with all these covid deaths, our death rate is still about what it was last year. with these sissies moaning and groaning you'd think no one was ever supposed to die. it happens every day from all causes. the "experts" have pretty much conceded that point by coming up with the argument that an infection could lead to heart issues. all the while they leave out that this is pretty rare and it happens with other viruses and illnesses as well.

Wait, let's hear him out. I mean our supreme leader did say that the virus would 'just disappear', and he knows what he is talking about when it comes to most things, right? It's not like he proposed injecting UV rays or bleach into people, or something crazy like that.

I don't think this exactly meets the muster of a legitimate syllogism or anything, nor do I know what sort of data or information he is basing that on (besides making broad assumptions), but hell, it sounds pretty good to me.
I mean, so what if a few guys out of thousands get really sick and hospitalized, or God forbid they should perish; or if a player spreads it to a person with an underlying condition or a parent/grandparent. Only 80+ year olds die from this, and, let's be honest, those people aren't that important. It's not like the US has a much higher share of fatalities in the 50-70 age range than any other country, or anything like that, right? Plus death is part of life, people die every day. It's the cost of business, and we have to get the machine running again. Toe needs to meet leather, AT ALL COSTS!
