I hope the conference has some provision for keeping an OOC in state game

surely the SEC and ACC wouldn't let Georgia Tech-Georgia, Clemson-South Carolina, Florida State-Florida and Louisville-Kentucky go down the drain.

Logic gets flawed if you can fly from Lexington to Gainesville, but you can't take a bus on I-64 from Louisville to Lexington (or vice versa).

Georgia should always play Tech on Thanksgiving weekend. Always.

The reason you feel that way is that your State's other Team, Tulane has deemphasized Big Time FB, if Tulane were to build their Program up to at least where a GT is it would make Great Rivalry for Thanksgiving Weekend for the citizens of your State, the issue is, is can Tulane build their Program to where they can win 4 of every 10 Games vs LSU, at least that is what GT is aiming for to get where we beat UGA 4 out of 10 Games and make it a legit rivalry

SEC and ACC should just have each team add one game from the other conference. Have Bama add Maryland(TV would love that match up), LSU to play BC in late November, Duke vs Vandy and so on. Of course the yearly rivalry games.

IDK.I wouldn't mind having an off week before the SECCG this year.

I'll take any advantage I can get especially after we lost Swift and Pickens
(1st half) in a blowout/meaningless game.

Your kids need a week off to figure out where to watch the game?

I totally agree. The GT game is a burden most years, but this year its useless if there are no fans in the seats. Means nothing if UGA wins 52-7 again and another chance to get hurt it sick. Take the week off.

Pretty sure the covid-19 doesn't know the difference on ooc teams vs conference teams. Good grief.

If they can play those OOC games the rent a win teams will wondering their contracts got canceled. This is all about getting out of paying rent a wins and losing as little money as possible.

Along with being a meaningless blowout it also ended up costing us in a big way.

Perhaps we had an outside shot with a healthy Swift and Pickens but there was no way we were gonna field a competitive offense with those 2 out along with Cager already out.

Collins is elevating Tech's Recruiting ---- with UGA's issues at QB and on Offense, you guys are ripe for an upset this season by Tech, if the season is Played and COFH is Played Tech will stun the Nation and pull the upset

He's got a long, long way to go.It'll be at least 3 more recruiting classes before he'll field a team that'll be remotely competitive with UGA and you guys just gutted the recruiting budget.

I really don't think you want that.

So by “build up to where G(ay)T is” you mean go from barely losing to temple to being skullfricked by temple?

Hold on there, bubba.
I don’t think Uga losing would exactly “stun the nation”. I mean they did lose to South Car last year, and most of us remember the not-so-long-ago days of Mizzou and Sharkboy-led-Florida being the only real contenders in the East. Don’t project Georgia fans’ delusions of grandeur onto the rest of us.

How many other conferences have teams with OOC in-state rivals?

It's an emergency. Georgians can do without a GT-UGA fball game for one year.
