I hate LSU but cut Tyran Mathieu some slack

He turned his career around to be one of the best defensive backs in the NFL. Sure he had some calls go against him and lost his temper but that’s part of it sometimes.
Doesn’t take away from the fact he’s one of the best, most talented players in the league.
He just needs a nap.

I have no issue with him or anything he said. Heated game. People get pissed and say stupid shite. No one will ever know what Brady or Mathieu said to each other. It's over. He was man enough to drop it. For a lot of woke bitches, that takes some guts to just let shite go these days.

That’s all good, but it’s not fair to imply that another guy said something awful without providing proof of what he said. The same goes for any player, Mathieu or someone else.

TM went right at the king and missed bigly. Then he got his arse handed to him. When part of your game is swagger and trash talking, you sometimes gotta learn that guys like Brady can feed off of it and put you in the crosshairs.

His first mistake was to frick w/Brady. Brady probably baited him into it. After all, Brady's, I.Q. is probably 3 times Tyran's...no doubt he was used.

Maybe he did, but it became permanently out there as soon as he tweeted it. Go to his most recent tweet, and most of the comments are about his deleted tweet.

I'm not triggered. He has done well for himself and turned his life around. However, his tweet last night has now led to all sorts of speculation that Brady used a racial slur against him. Unless Mathieu is going to clue people in to what was said, he shouldn't have tweeted something that implies that Brady said something racially motivated.

Again, it is not related to him playing for LSU. I have given Mathieu plenty of props for turning his life around and being a great NFL player. What I am saying goes for any player, whether they played at LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, anywhere. The point is that someone shouldn't tweet something vague that implies that another person said something that was potentially a racial slur.

It is good that he deleted the tweet. It doesn't change that when someone who is a high-profile athlete like him tweets something, it is permanently out there.

I didn’t jump to the implication that Brady said anything racial. He said Brady called him something he wouldn’t repeat.

But if you look at other comments that were made in response to the tweet, or in response to Matheiu's other tweet from after the game, there are a lot of people who did take it to mean that Brady said something racially motivated. Heck, there was a thread on this very board this morning that took it that way.
