At least for us younger folks. The culture of Bama basketball was just painful. You knew what was coming and yet you were there for it every step of the way.
Every year rinse and repeat.
Now, this team expects to win those hard fought games, and they play intelligent basketball most of the time.

I think a lot of SEC schools who were terrible/average for a long time can relate.
LSU, Auburn, Arkansas for sure - older Tennessee fans who lived through the Houston, O'Neill, weird Jerry Green interlude, Buzzball eras as well.
