Georgia blew it....it was a bad call by Richt and Murray
they should have downed it and come up with that play they had planned...Georgia would be National Champs right now
Georgia has a good chance this year though...

How would waiting a minute prevent their DL from tipping the pass and our receiver from reacting naturally and catching it? We ran the exact play call we wanted, the routes were there, it was just shitty the way it happened. People always want to find a scapegoat. Spiking it wouldn't have changed anything.
For as much as people call richt soft or a pussy or whatever, he went for the jugular. We just drove the entire length of the field in under a minute against bama's vaunted defense and had them on their heels. We went for the kill shot. Nobody but God knows what would've happened if the pass went to the endzone like it was supposed to. I just fail to see how people blame the loss on not spiking it. Even if we DID spike it and the play occured as it actually did, we STILL would've ran out of time. The spike is irrelevant.

Ran the right play thinking if it isn't a TD, it's incomplete in the endzone and we still get another shot. They didn't consider the tipped pass possibility and the fact that it would end up in our receiver's hands (and who can blame him for catching it.....it's the instinctual reaction of a receiver).
Onward.

Actually this would have probably been a brilliant play to call.

This sounds more like the LSU fanbase in regards to 21-0 instead of some UGA coach.

i, DGD, don't even hold those last calls against richt or bobo and that has to say something. would i have preferred a spike and a different play? sure, but hindsight is 20/20 and i admire what they were at least going for.
