I don't know what targeting is anymore.

In case you didn't see it, there were some questionable targeting/no targeting calls last night in the SC Aggie game.
For those that didn't see it, here are the replays.
Brunson Targeting. Ejected.
Trey Adkins targeting overturned
Joyner Targeting overturned
How do you justify the first one and not the other two?
When kids start getting injured. I start getting pissed. Gutless calls by the refs.

Only the first one was true targeting IMO and could have been overturned.

Targeting is a foul called by REC purchased officials for when gumps needs to remove the opposing team’s best defensive players.

Remember Demani Richardson’s name.
You run up the middle and don’t slide, he is gonna lower his shoulder and turn your world upside down.

I don’t think any of those are targeting.

The first one against A&M looks bad and the call should've stayed. The 2nd one the refs did a good job overturning.
But don't forget about early in the game the SC player dropping down and aiming for the head of an Aggie who was already down. That was a terrible no- call.

Same game as this one. Both considered targeting

Let me go ahead and fix it for you.
Here's the thing. I'm not upset with A&M. I'm upset with the shite@$$ sec refs that have been gunning for Muschamp ever since the "Gutless" comment.

Everyone explained to you that the calls were correct on your thread on the Scoreboard last night. The answers haven't changed, but enjoy your melt.

You'll never convince me otherwise. When players get injured by another player hitting them directly in the head, that's my limit.
And as a fan of the team that benefited from the calls, your, and every other aggie's opinion is exactly what I'd expect. I'm sorry, and no offense, but you're not an objective observer (nor am I).
But what I do know is that the A&M player knocked our guy unconscious and that's unconscionable.

First two are targeting. Two different reasons.
Last one...I could see how they might overturn that one since the runner appeared to be ducking into it and incidentally caused it.

Maybe your QB should have, you know, slid. He became a runner when he crossed the line of scrimmage and is responsible to protect himself. That is literally the rule. Him getting knocked the frick out is his fault.

That's football. Players hit each other. Sometimes they get hurt. Maybe you're better suited to be a fan of another sport. Have you considered badminton?

Feel fortunate that the aggie didnt rip the guys helmet off and hit his skull with it.

olddawg - that isn't targeting

The first one was text book targeting by leading with the crown of the helmet. The second one, the initial contact appeared to be shoulder on shoulder, so not targeting. The third one was not on a defensless player and not using the crown of the helmet, so not targeting.
