Because unfortunately you have to in the current system. Alabama was screwed big time this season because Tennessee lost to Georgia State and a bunch of Mormons. Stronger the conference the stronger your team is.

The AAC is a joke regardless of bowl season. The SEC at least has a standard to uphold.

Im a razorback and Ive watched the LSU beatdown of OU at least 4 times now with a huge grin on my face. Watching Baylor lose to Georgia felt good too. Every year the SEC is mocked for its ooc games by a bunch of jealous idiots, which I think helps unite the conference teams in bowl season.
