the Tide dominated as expected, but I am surprised they didn't put up 50. I know saban doesn't take his foot off the gas pedal, so what happened? the highlights on postgame showed alabama as unstoppable.

No Spring practice so the starters got pulled super early to try to develop depth.

Gonna be a different offense than years past. Not nearly as much one strike stuff. Najee is gonna run the ball more. Our TD drives were 12 plays, 4 plays (66 yards), 8 plays, 10 plays, 5 plays (37 yards).
Also, Missouri played solid fundamental defense. They didn't miss many tackles, they didn't have any huge coverage busts, etc. We had to go on drives to score, which takes more time.

Most of the offensive starters only played a couple of series in the 2nd half. 2nd string OL was pretty bad and getting blown up by an aggressive Mizzou front 7.
They could have pretty easily scored 50 with starters in the entire game.

Wide receivers were in a little late for my tastes.

Lots of starters were pulled early in the 3rd qtr.

Yea I liked letting Bryce play with some 1's, but once Neal hobbled off I quickly was like "ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH"

Not sure why you'd think that; Saban almost always takes his foot off with a lead of 28-35 points.
Only time I can recall him "running up the score" was against Harbaugh.
Thinking about this also makes me wonder if we'll see as many blowouts in CFB this season, considering the backups can play without any loss of eligibility.

At halftime, we had 28 points off of 300 yards (40 plays). After our first drive of the 2nd half, we had 35 pts off of 337 yards (45 plays) (7.5 YPP).
Then we put in the backups at RB/QB and about half the OL.

putting in second stringers is not necessarily taking your foot of the pedal. saban usually lets them play, unlike coach O. he didn't let Myles Brennan really play last year in mop up duty. As far as I'm concerned, it's not running it up if you pull your starters. your guys need real experience

He tried to let them run our normal playbook stuff the first drive or two with Bryce and the starting WRs, but the 2nd offensive line was fvckin atrocious. Then the last couple drives we just ran the ball up the middle.

It went to 35-3 and then my cable went out. Frickin Hurricane has a lot of utilities dodgy.

Yeah, it sort of went from a bunch of motor graders to looking like a jail break after those substitutions.

Learned our lesson about injuries over the last few years, quick to put in subs. Big drop off between 1st and 2nd oline, makes me question depth in that position.
Went up 21-0, and then pretty much scrimmaged with Mizzou. Mizzou to their credit, did not give up and improved in their execution as the game went on.

Still throwing the ball late in the game. Nobody is going to let up on the gas until the second half of the season.
