I am not worried about Mizzou losing top recruits.

Luther just picked Mizzou today! I think this season isn't going to be good but top recruits are still committed to Mizzou. The plan is to build the football program with the new recruits and some current players to make the difference on the field next year and beyond.

No need go there when talking about Mizzou progress. This year is a washup. But the future is looking good for Mizzou!

Yes. If Drinkwitz is recruiting 4* recruits and he just got a commitment today for a wide receiver that is a 5* to go to Mizzou. How is that not looking good. Have you seen Mizzou current roster? It is pretty bad. Now is a good time to look forward to the future with these 4*, 5*, and 3* recruits to give Drinkwitz to build his football program the right way. Why aren't you not seeing that will not help Drinkwitz and Mizzou? Just tell me what are you trying to say about recruiting at Mizzou highest recruiting class ever? This has never been done before at Mizzou.
Texas A&M fans, your team wasn't as good in the first 3 years. Now that he might be onto something due to top 10 recruiting class 3 years or so in a row. Mizzou is slowly getting to get what it need to compete for top players. How else do you build a good football team? Probably when the 2023 class is is done. That will be 2 more years. Do not tell me Fisher took 4 years to beat Nick Saban.

Hell of a plan. What strategy were y'all using for the last 130 years?

I wanted to include my purple pen.

But really I wanted to continue this charade of Mizz not winning an sec game; but you thinking you’re going in the right direction.

Everyone knows this year’s a bust. But we see some positive things for the future.

Odd that you don’t think having the 5th best 2022 recruiting class in the SEC after being at the bottom the pack consistently is going in the right direction.

Do you somehow think getting better recruits is bad? If so, I’d have to question your knowledge of how college football works.

Since TrueMillenial wants screenshots….I’ll give you one.

On the sec rant, do you post info about one recruit and say you’re moving in the right direction with ZERO SEC wins?

If so, I’d have to question your knowledge of how college football works

You don't have to worry. Top recruits aren't going to Missouri anyway

Well, you see it's not the one recruit I'm posting about. It's the DIRECTION of the program. Here are the rankings of the last 5 MU football recruiting classes per 247:

2018...Nat'l 43...SEC...13 Odom
2019...Nat'l 37...SEC...13 Odom
2020...Nat'l 51...SEC...13 Odom
2021...Nat'l 27...SEC...11 Drinkwitz
2022...Nat'l 14...SEC...05 Drinkwitz

A program's current win-loss record tells you where they are currently. It is a static measure. It tells you nothing about direction.

Now you see, in college football recruiting is very important. Many teams devote a lot of resources to it thinking success in this area is a predictor of future success, and with good reason. There can be shown a positive correlation between highly ranked recruiting classes and future success on the field. One need look no further than say Alabama to prove this out. Consistently top classes, consistently strong program.

So, logically one could conclude that a jump from 13th best recruiting class in the SEC to 5th is a move in the right DIRECTION. See there's that direction word again that you seem to be missing.

Perhaps you're just directionally challenged.

Hopefully Drinkwitz is recruiting the Midwest intensely. The state of Illinois alone, with its 13 million people, is a prime area for Mizzou to be flashing that SEC badge to recruits. Every edge counts with young players.

Weird you list 2020 as Odom.

I know Pittman was able to take our 2020 recruiting class from around 80 when he arrived up to 29 that year.

Looks like Drink should have been tearing up the portal

Drink does seem to be recruiting well. Will be interesting to see how he does with them on the field in 3 years
