Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier, both National Championship-winning coaches, found out the hard way that USCe is one of those places. And I like USCe.

Do you need to add Texas A&M to the list?

South Carolina won 10 games each regular season from '11-'13 with over the hill mid 60s Spurrier

UGA and uf were both bad 2 out of those 3 seasons, and Tennessee was bad for all 3 of them. Smart/Mullen/Pruitt would be a biiiiit tougher of an out than richt/muschamp/butch. Clemson also hadnt started peaking yet. Meyer would be infinitely better than muschamp but let's be realistic.

For his sake I hope he stays out of coaching completely. It is obvious that he has some health issues that are exacerbated by stress. Well not many jobs are more stressful than being a college football head coach. If Ohio State, with its guaranteed 10+ wins a season, was too stressful for him how can he handle a rebuild job where he's probably going to eat several losses each year?

Another ex National Champ coach adding a couple meaningless wins to his resume and several dollars to his bank account? We've seen that there....twice

A lot of our success in 10-13 was based on having a stupid amount of talent come out of the SC/NC/GA area and choose at right about the same time to come to South Carolina instead of the usual destinations (Clemson/UGA/Florida schools) Is it possible to replicate? Yeah I guess so, but the competition is a lot stiffer than it was then and we don’t have the advantage of Spurrier this time around... Instead we have... mike bobo.

SC is a small population State, that can't support 2 P5 colleges

... it has a slightly larger population than Alabama moron. Hell, if there is such a thing as a silver lining to Clemsons success - the smaller school with a smaller base and less money - it’s that I know we can do it if they can. Just have to put the right pieces together.

2 top 5 finishes and easily 50+ future NFL players on his rosters. True we had hiccup games like that SEC Champ against Auburn. But that team was way too young and had idea how to handle what they were capable of. Whats your next question dip shite?

Make $4 million per year coaching a team where 9-3 will get you a statue instead of the door.

Heard this song and dance when there was speculation we were getting Lou Holtz.

And we did.

Heard this song and dance again when there was speculation that we were getting Steve Spurrier.

And we did.
