What everyone fails to realize that the decision not to play sports was made by the college PRESIDENTS, who hate with every fiber of their being that their university is way more known for its athletic program than anything else.
Every faculty member of every university in the nation is butthurt over the fact that the football coach is the highest paid employee of their school. In all of the power 5 schools the FB Coach makes more (Usually way more) than the College President. So of course they all said "Now we can focus on education!" failing to realize that football or in some cases Basketball is what brought their university to the students attention.
Case in point look at out of state enrollment at Alabama pre and post Saban.
