It would be kind of interesting to see the first Big-10 Champion since the Beatles released Yellow Submarine.

I kinda hope it happens personally, Vandy is just really good and somewhat gets to play by their own rules.

I'd be happy for them
Just because my fan life is miserable doesn't mean everybody else's has to be.

You do realize Michigan is using Vanderbitls system right?
Why do you think I put up that post yesterday about Michigan having double Vanderbilt's endowment?
Virginia winning a few years ago and now Michigan would show certain state schools could easily outspend the private ones.

B1G and PAC were able to dominate college baseball from the 50's to the 80's because of Walter Beyers and his dictatorial control of the NCAA. If Byers had promoted across the NCAA then the Sooners and Georgia never go to court and the CFA never forms.
SEC and now the ACC have risen through actual open competition and it has been good even if it pisses off the B1G and PAC. The two conspired to wreck the B12 back in 2009 yet could not succeed as TAMU (PAC bound) and MU (B1G bound) went to the SEC, Notre Dame went to the ACC (always coveted by the B1G), and Utx went nowhere.
I say f*ck the B1G and PAC as they made this bed so now they must lie in it. If neither win another major NCAA Natty in the next decade it is fine with me. While this may seem harsh to the younger set on here I am old enough to remember that only 2 conferences in the country failed to sent even one member to the CFA's ranks.
Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it

Maybe a shorter season with something like "tournaments" each weekend with 4 different teams across the Nation would be better.
That's stupid.

Man I love the fact that nobody is giving Michigan a chance at this!! Get ready boys to be disappointed!

It would be Vandy's fault for not reeling in the Whistler.

If you make it to the final series you have a chance
Coming in as the underdog with no pressure or expectations helps too

College baseball is similar to college hockey in popularity on a national scale. It just isn’t that big of a deal.

t would be a hard-fought title for them and would give the Big Ten its first baseball title in 53 years.
Hard fought? They've lost what, one game since the regionals and used 3 pitchers total? Has seemed pretty easy for them.

I'd rather win the frozen four.

Not particularly. They are hot. Sometimes you get hot in baseball and start to smash. That's baseball.
I didn't think we would win the Natty, it would be shear luck by getting hot at the right moment. We aren't the best team in the country. Vandy arguably is. I think they are the only team in the country that could comeback down 1 game against a quality opponent to win it all.

I'm fine with it given they are one of my top three teams ..... Gamecocks, Michigan/Army.
Any other time I would be pulling heavily for the SEC team but I was wearing my blue Michigan hat last night and will be wearing my Maize Michigan hat tonight.

This. frick ‘em both, but one has the worst sidewalk fans in college baseball. The other had pretty much forgotten they had a baseball program until this year, and both fanbases can be obnoxiously smug, but I’ll never wish well for the #VandyBoys until their broadcasts don’t require muting
