Also, wind can't stop the Runslinger because, he can't throw accurately anyway.

More precise. If I said 6' everybody assumes its padded and he's really 5'10".

So I said 72". Because when asked he said "I'm exactly 72 inches"

Tebow took some hits in SEC play that would have ended Manziels life. The guy was automatic at the goalline.

In 2007 he won the heisman behind ufs worst defense in three decades. I think its hilarious right now that manziel is getting compared to tebow.

Hell if aj mcarron doesnt mess up at the end of that game were not even having this discussion.

Don't act like its not a comparison.

Through 2 years on campus Tenow was a 3rd down specialist and then won a Heisman after going 8-4 or 9-3.

Johnny redshirted behind a Top 10 pick and then won the Heisman in a 10-2 season breaking records Tebow and Cam set before him.

And Tebow took those licks because that's his style. Nobody has gotten that shot on Johnny. He's too elusive and slippery

Not even a discussion yet, Tebow better. Re-apply in twelve months. Just win baby... That's how we measure in the SEC.

Of course. And unlike Tebow, Manziel would've led UF to double digit wins during his Heisman season.

That's Tebow's fault. Not JFF's fault he's too fast for most defenders to get a solid hit on him.

Can we compare the most relevant stats of the two?

Tebow's 2nd year vs Manziel's 2nd year?

Tim Tebow 2007:

Passing-

234-350, 66.9%, 3286 Yards, 32 TDs, 6 Ints, 172.5 QBR

Rushing-

210 Rushes, 895 Yards, 23 TDs

Johnny Manziel 2012:

Passing-

295-434, 68.0%, 3706 Yards, 26 TDs, 9 Ints, 155.3 QBR

Rushing-

201 Rushes, 1409 Yards, 21 TDs

Looks pretty clear who was more dominant.

Tebow won a Heisman as a True Sophomore.

Tebow's 2007 season and Cam's 2010 season were statistically better than Manziel's 2012 season.

Lol no.

Tebow had a handful more touchdowns, and based on the quality of his team, it's probably because he played more than JFF did. But even if he didn't, those numbers absolutely do not indicate that Tebow was "clearly" more dominant. He had 3 less pics and a few more TDs. Manziel was better in everything else--including wins.

He had 8 more TDs. His TD to Int ratio was 5.4:1 compared to Manziel's sub-3:1.

Also, Manziel played so many more downs as evidenced by an additional 150 passing attempts.

Yeah, and those 8 TDs don't make up for his 2 fewer wins and nearly 1,000 less yards.

I mean, are you serious?

ETA: Manziel played in a hurry up offense. I'd feel confident guaranteeing he played less minutes. Regardless, he was more productive and efficient as a passer and a runner. He did throw 3 more pics, though.

Have you ever heard it's like comparing oranges to apples? Manziel vs Tebow is like comparing Shaq and Jordan.

It's more like comparing Magic Johnson to Steve Nash.
