How will UK fans handle being 3rd or 4th in the SEC each year?

With Oats and Muss in the conference it’s obvious Cal’s glory days are behind him. The model he used to beat up the Mike Anderson and Avery Johnson’s of the SEC won’t be able to cut it anymore. Quality of coaching will overtake any talent Cal pays to come in.

Well.. Auburn, Alabama and Arkansas are getting as much talent as they are also.. and I would say Tennessee but you referenced quality coaching so Rick Barnes should probably be left out of that discussion.

His model of buying off all the 5* 18 yr olds worked great when teams had no way to counter that kind of talent on one team.
But now savvy coaches can bring in all conf mid and high major JRs and SRs to counter that... And win.
Give me a team full of nasty, ultra talented 22 yr olds who have a point to prove and know it's their last shot over 5 spoiled rotten AAU kids who think they're God's gift to basketball any day.
It's a new dawn in CBB. Old African Studies Roy saw the writing on the wall and got out. Cal is going to continue playing catchup to the new transfer market gurus like Muss, Beard, Oats, etc.

You may be on to something.. Bama has been somewhat competitive through atrocious coaching and player's ability.
3-13 with -156 point differential might seem horrible but we have had 10 games being under 15 points or less in losses to UK. And UK have had some really scary teams since Cal's arrival.
Since Nate been in town already we are 2-1 with a +22 point differential. Small sample size but Bama competed with UK with shitty coaching. Now with a major upgrade....sorry UK #wecomin

Big Blue will be back and soon. I have no problem with one and done dropping to the side. Just let them go to the NBA from HS and get them out of the way.

Pretty good, hopefully it'll lead to an SEC Championship appearance or a New Years 6 Bowl in the next couple years.
