With NCAA reform coming and the current political climate, does the narrative change ?

What really happened ? Auburn paid reparations in a time when racist UGA fans claimed foul.

Auburn went 14-0, won the NC, and the NCAA found no wrongdoing.

I would appreciate if the NCAA retroactively found that Auburn paid reparations

The narrative need not change, it's working just fine. Cam's very existence is still an active source of butthurt for Gumps across the universe. It doesn't get much better than that.

absolutely not true. wrongdoing was found but auburn got off on a loophole. later, the loophole was allegedly closed by the ncaa. are you a flat earther?

Totally agree and it's wonderful. It's really funny when bama accuses anyone else of cheating.

bullshite. Auburn was never implicated. If there was evidence the Miss State booster had discussions with Auburn, Cam wouldn't have been cleared. It was always a Miss State issue. Auburn was praised for their compliance. Had he signed with them he'd have been suspended.

Cam dropped Miss State when the plan was exposed to the NCAA. Auburn signed him knowing the situation and knowing we were in the clear.

No. Are you a retard? Aren't you the same moron who has no clue what happened with Bruce Pearl too?

how can you people be so ignorant. you've never read about the cam newton loophole? yes, the "rules of amateurism" were broken according to emmert. just google cam newton loophole. he should have been ruled ineligible but was allowed to play based on a technicality. and of course if he had been ruled ineligible like he should have been, auburn would have had to forfeit every game he played in.

it's crazy people still don't get this story right. it seriously is like flat earthers.

First of all, it's a Cecil Newton Loophole.
Second, the loophole has ZERO to do with Auburn.

Auburn was notified of Miss State's wrongdoings in 2009, before Cam ever set foot on campus. He bailed out of Miss State because the situation was being investigated and he'd have been ineligible at Miss State.

YOU don't know and YOU need to get the story right.

quote:

The NCAA notified Auburn of its investigation on Oct. 5, 2009, and requested documents including texts, emails and bank records for Cam Newton and his parents and for Cecil Newton's suburban Atlanta church from Dec. 1, 2008 to Sept. 1, 2010.

quote:

The NCAA and Auburn found Cecil Newton and Rogers first discussed asking representatives of Mississippi State for "a substantial cash payment" around the time of his official visit from Nov. 27-29, 2009.

quote:

Auburn said it had no contact with Rogers while recruiting Newton and "was in no way involved with offering or considering an offer of any recruiting inducement."

Same for Oklahoma, who was also recruiting him.

quote:

The NCAA agreed with Auburn's self-report from Nov. 30, 2010, that Cecil Newton and the owner of a scouting service, Kenny Rogers, shopped Cam Newton's services to Mississippi State out of junior college, but that there was no evidence the player or Auburn knew about it.
