How were fans for those of you who went to, or hosted, games this week?

Fan opinions of those either going to or hosting games is always an important matter to me each season, so it would be nice to hear everyone's opinion.

Texas A&M fans were great. They had a weird accent for some reason. They really love to use the word "howdy" alot, but they were extremely friendly.

They brought nothing to the table as far as food is concerned however. I was expecting more "BBQ-type" conversations along the day, but mostly we just watched other games and drank beer and ate ribs and hamburgers.

They were absolutely great people overall. Don't mind them coming back in the future.

Feel free to add your own particular experiences.

For the most part all the Bama fans I met were fine. There were the occasional jackasses, but every fan base has those. There was one fat trailer park woman with her young child there who literally took his shirt off so she could shield her eyes from the sun while her son was baked in the heat. Bitch. Anyways I can't speak bad about Bama fans since my girlfriend is one
But cheers to all the good folks I met this past Saturday

That seems pretty typical (concerning Alabama fans as a whole).

You MUST be fully clothed to attend a public function. That applies to everyone from the age of 1 day to death.

College football games are no exception.

No one wants to see your cheap and skanky-arse tattoes...and we certainly are fine in life without seeing their 50 pounds of body fat, which they all carry around so proudly day after day.

The Georgia fans I met were very nice. Got to meet Dwayne Gilbert, been to 506 straight Georgia games and turns 90 next month. Talked with him each of the 3 games they have played in Columbia so far. Even saw Evander Holyfield at the game, had no idea his son was a Bulldog.

Their fans were pretty excited once the outcome was decided but were gracious in victory and shook hands with me on the way out. No complaints and enjoyed having them in town.

Offered nothing food wise? Did you expect Aggys to haul their pits to auburn for the game?

I had nothing but positive interactions with Auburn fans. Not sure what you are wanting with regard to BBQ--for us to bring it from Texas? Not happening if you fly. For us to tell you how good pork smothered in sauce is? Well, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Great hospitality. Loved the lemonade at Toomer's.

The State fans that I met were good people. Had three lady state fans sitting next to us(surprisingly they were not fat and disgusting) and they cracked jokes about Les. Was pretty funny.

MSU fans were great this past weekend. No issues, had to point a few into the right direction as they were looking for RV's and could not figure out where to go. In the stadium, same thing, all were cordial and no problems. I am in the minority and will get blasted but saw a few LSU fans screaming at the MSU fans Tiger Bait. fricking people need to grow up.

On a side note, Wisconsin fans up in Green Bay were top notch. If LSU had lost to a SEC school after being heavily favored, it would have been brutal after the game. The Badger fans I think were in shock on the win, nothing was ever said.

The only NMSU Aggie fans present in CWS were probably relatives of the players/coaches. Very few of them.

I snapped this photo of the baggage handlers loading my pit, pre-flight.
I was surprised to see them make themselves at home like that.
Continental was much better about that stuff than United is.

Ole miss was cool. No problems to speak of. Most everybody said hello and went on about their bidness. Hotty toddy yelled ad nauseam but it's just a cheer. Doesn't bother me. Ole miss is always a fine fan base to be around in my experience.

I said BBQ "conversations", not them actually bringing food.

For some reason I was always under the impression that people from Texas always tried to push their own "unique" cuisine and "way of cooking" on other fanbases. Guess I was wrong about that particular stereotype. That is entirely on me. I apologize.

I really liked A&M's "down-to-earth" fans either way.

West Virginia and South Florida fans were horrible. So it is always nice to get a better experience from other fans in this regard.

You could really tell the difference in upbringing and manners.

Oh great another thread asking for single anecdotes to describe an entire fan base.

Ok. I was really impressed with the Nicholls State fans. We spit on them and they hardly complained at all. Real nice folks.

It's not very ethical or classy to attempt to slander an entire fan base based on your experience. Kinda shows your true colors.

A bad experience with a fan is just that....It is wrong to extrapolate this to an entire fan base or culture.

When i see am Auburn fan drinking his own urine outside the stadium......I keep it to myself. You should do the same. No one cares.

We all know central texas brisket is the best bbq in the world. No need to rub it in your face and start a fight.
