How was Florida seeded over LSU?

I seriously can’t see any way to justify that. Can somebody shine some light on that for me? LSU has a better overall record, better conference record, and they are higher in the net. I know it doesn’t matter at this point but I’m curious as to what other metrics outweighed those.

Florida has that Notre Dame thing going. Always ranked, always over-rated. For reference check that #1 pre-season ranking in baseball.

LSU was 3rd in the SEC, second in SECT yet are the fifth seeded SEC team

And add to that comparison LSU is higher in the net. It’s absolutely laughable to seed Florida over LSU. I don’t think there is a single metric in their favor
