LSU used to beat the shite out of this dude and be would get right back up everytime.

Cox was a hell of a football player.

sometimes I miss the Tuberville era because of those epic LSU-Auburn games.

who were some other tough players that have earned your respect from enemy teams?

2000-2007 LSU-AUBURN might be the best stretch of football I've seen. Brutal and nasty.

loved it.

I actually know him now, married one of my wife's co-workers last year. Seems like a pretty cool guy from the events we've been at.

Was at the 2006 game. Loudest hits I have ever heard. It was unreal.

Yes it was. Tuberville consistently had Auburn's defense in the Top 10, and of course LSU had Saban. Those games were slugfests, especially 2006.

Brandons Season Tickets were right in front of mine for over 5 years. He came to every game. Was sitting right in front of me when Chris Davis ran the kick back. Dude lost his fricking mind

He was a really cool guy and I respected his play for Auburn. And you are right, he is a tough SOB

LSU-Auburn, to me, is the most underrated series in the league.

Most of the games are epic.

I love it.

Tuberville defenses at Auburn were so scary. They were all so fast and it seemed like every tackle was like watching someone getting hit by a race car.

You're right, but those games in that era could get out of hand.

One year for whatever reason they moved the game back from 7 pm to 8 pm in Baton Rouge. Not a good idea.

I watched a column of Auburn fans (probably a 100 or so) fight there way through the stadium parking lot to get in the stadium. It was impressive, the brawlers up front had an Auburn flag.
