How optimistic are you about your basketball program?

For Auburn, I would give it a 9. We had a great recruiting class last year and we still have some elite players probably returning. Assuming we can figure out a way to keep Pearl, the sky is the limit.

Arkansas fans - a 4/10?

LSU fans - given the unknowns a 4/10?

Alabama fans - 7/10?

Florida - meh

Ole miss - 7/10?

Ms. St - 6/10?

UGA- great recruiting class so 7/10?

Vandy?

A&M - 7/10?

SC - meh

4/10 for State because our fans that live close don’t support them. They’ll pack out the women’s games but men is empty. Recruits will see that and it’ll dry up.

Musselman is a great coach and we already have good young talent in place.

My optimism is a 9/10. Doesn't mean I expect immediate domination, but I know we just hired a damn good basketball coach.

9/10. We just hired a fantastic coach who will win quick with the talent we already have on the hill.

Auburn has a chance to be a real factor in the SEC for the remainder of Pearl’s tenure and parlay that success into remaining a good program for a long time.

So that’s a damn sight better than eternal suckitude that was the reality four years ago

I feel pretty good about where we’re heading. Brought in a great recruiting class to join a solid returning group of guys, and will likely bring in a transfer to help out the front court. We should be very good next year.

I'm excited to watch the new style of play and definitely curious to see how Oats does. I don't have much in the way of expectations.

Need to keep Williams and we will have a decent shot at the 2nd weekend again next year.

Very key offseason coming up for Barnes’ staff. Two assistants likely getting head coaching jobs. 2020 recruiting class could be best in school history if they can hang on to their top targets with the assistant coaching upheaval.

I will have a better answer in a month or two.
