Arkansas has fallen off the face of the map

After that last Tyler Wilson year, Petrino would have most likely fizzled out. He wasn't a great recruiter.

It went to a guy who was a players coach in fat Bert. He also preferred the booze and arse eating to recruiting.

Chad Morris took over and he was good at recruiting, but he wasn't a leader.

Hopefully Pittman can continue getting good people in and Briles can implement his offense. Hopefully he doesn't go anywhere. And Odom can coach a Defense.

Long story short, Petrino was about to burn up, Long was terrible at his job and hired the first guy who asked him for it. Then extended him.

Has aTm joining us hurt us? As much as being the only team outside of Texas in the SWC hurt us.

The only irritating thing aTm caused was f'ing up a pretty good Black Friday game with LSU. LSU was ready to quit that though, we pee'd in their pumpkin pie a little too often for their liking during that period.

It was stupid for not having Texas, Texas A&M or Texas Tech from the old SWC each year on the schedule. Back when the internet and social media didn't exist, you had two choices and that if you watched them in person or where lucky enough to watch them on tv.

Instead we scheduled SMU and we gained nothing winning or losing against them.

Well said. We love to talk about the advantages that, say, Alabama has but when they had poor coaches they usually had mediocre results. Or worse.
That's a load of BS...Mike Price was undefeated at Bama.

Texas Tech landed almost twice as many blue chips in 2008-2012 than they did from 2013-2019, which included a total of about 80 more.

In 2013-2019 they landed less blue chips than 12 schools, and only 4 of those schools were from Texas. That is quite the tumble. And if I had to guess, they were probably all wide receivers

I did enjoy it on Black Friday because it would give us an extra dayS rest before the sec championship game against Uga or Ut.

Texas A&M has made recruiting Texas easier for everyone in the West.

All I know is that Arkansas has had a rough stretch of coaching let downs. Gotta coach em up if you aren't pulling 4 and 5 stars at every position.
