...and listen to your guys on radio call the game?

Our color guy, Tim Priest, is a former Vol standout who held the UT interception record for decades until Eric Berry broke it.

Much more entertaining to listen to a former player and rabid fan who knows his football. Than to listen to the stiffs on ESPN or CBS.

It's a high price, but one I must pay.

I’ve started doing that recently also. Not because our new radio guy is legendary, but because Gary isn’t worth it.

Yes, State’s radio guys Neal Price, Matt Wyatt and Bart Gregory are really good. Not Jack Cristil good but he was the legend that will never be equaled.

They have a way you can sync your radio and tv so you can listen to them and watch.

I have not actually done it but it sounds like a great idea.

Many fans here in KC use to do it when HOF QB Len Dawson was the color commentator. He brought alot more to the table with his knowledge and spoke with authority on his insight.

I can't stand the Saban and Bama knob slobbering even when it's not a Bama game he is calling.

That's not surprising. If I was a dim-witted, narrow minded homer, I probably would, too.

edit: notice how many L1-8U fans also do it.

Yes. I plop on QuietComfort headphones & follow LSU Scoreboard if TV commentators babble too much or if hubby & others in room are playing wannabe commentators...

(Guess it will be interesting when Alexa starts replying from TV. If she hasn't already!)

I suppose if we were inbred, sister-fricking imbecilic Bammers. We would love hearing Gary slobber Saban's knob while we fantasized about doing it too.

Bob Kessling is the worst radio guy in the history of sports so I don’t puke never consider doing that OP.

However my dad and just about everyone I knew growing up would mute the broadcast for John Ward

Tim makes up for Bob's mistakes.

I wish they had hired Randy Smith instead of Bob. He would have been great with Tim.
