Pearl does. He knew the next few games againts big guys would be a problem.Your midgets can only flop themselves into so many wins

Bama was definitely the biggest team we have played all year. AU has played worse and worse the last 3 games and a big reason is the size difference. Bama guards made Heron look small let alone Jared Harper who is 5'9. Gonna be a really tough stretch the next 3 or 4 games.

They were considered a 2 seed in the NCAA tournament?

Auburn had its worst FT shooting game of the year and only lost by 5 on the road.

Both teams shot 65% from the free throw line.
Try another excuse.

Also no Sexton and Hall was very limited.

WE typically shoot well from the line, Bama shot their average form the line. Bama going out of their mind from 3 was the difference.

We were 18/18 in BR last game and our best FT shooter didn't play (Sexton).

His point still remains, we are (or were) the best FT shooting team in the conference. If we shoot our average then we likely win the game. Credit to Bama though, they did what they needed to do to win and Auburn didn’t. If Petty can get some consistency then he will end up being very dangerous by the end of his career.

In our starting lineup? I think one, which is our center who is 6’7. Losing Wiley and Purifoy have made us a very undersized team who is still good at rebounding but struggle with shots down low because of the height discrepancy.

They are small for sure. I think if Hall had been able to play more than token minutes, our game plan should have been to feed him all night. Even without Hall, I'm not sure why we didn't post up more with guys like Dazon, Herbert, Key, and Petty. They looked to be a head taller than anyone on AU's team.

Auburn is a very well coached/taught/motivated team. Pearl uses their quickness and tenacity along with well-coached fundamentals to more than offset their height deficiency. I wasn't a big Pearl admirer until this year, but he's made me change my mind.

We only lost bc we couldn't shoot free throws. Bama probably rigged the rim
