Lori Susan “LOLO” Jones

I’m sure there are others, but what an outstanding accomplishment and person.

Go Tigers!

Bullett Bob Hayes is the only athlete to win both an Olympic gold medal and a Super Bowl ring.

Track and field?

I thought we're talking about real sports, not trying to be the best at exercising.

Herschel Walker in the CFB NC and the winter Olympics, although I don't think he medaled.

Has to be someone like Gene Conley who won a title in MLB and NBA.

Renaldo Nehemiah has a Super Bowl ring and won the gold at the Olympics and Jim Thorpe did the same but before there were SBs. He won 3 unofficial world championships.

It’s literally the oldest sport in the history of the world. It’s the foundation for just about every sport ever invented. Football has been around for about 120 years.

Here's one that might be closer - Deon Sanders won two Super Bowl titles and made one World Series appearance, making him the only athlete to play in both.

Still not a World Champion in two sports, though.

Jim Thorpe won football championships before the creation of the nfl (not after though).

Similarly, he won the national league pennant a few times with the NY Giants but they lost the world series.

Not sure why some stooge downvoted this. It's literally a perfect example.

Well, first you have to be a "WORLD" champion.

That pretty much excludes most professional sports, save for the World Cup. You're really looking at Olympic sports.

So next is to define "Sport"

Does winning it in variations of the same field count (like winning gold medals in uneven bars and the vault, or in the backstroke and the freestyle). If not, then the list I'm sure becomes super short.

There's an Olympic list here:
Olympic Medals in Different Sports

Lauren Williams came very close to a similar feat to Lori Jones - she won the gold in the relay in 2012, and won the silver in the bobsleigh in 2014.

Eddie Eagan won the Light Weight boxing gold in 1920. He won the gold in the bobsleigh 12 years later. Probably the most interesting in the bunch.

Don’t let it bother you.

I think they pay somebody to just downvote everything. :)

Typical "fat frick" response who would get dominated by any collegiate female athlete in a track event.
