Kentucky wins today because of refs. Gumps in football always have the refs on their side.

Until hell freezes over.

You gotta be good enough to beat the refs, too.

How many times did an Alabama opponent's OL hold an Alabama player last season?

There aren't SEC refs in basketball.
Haven't been for years. There are just college refs.

The only gripe most have about the current refs is that they work a ton of games and travel a lot.

You are right we might as well quit with the denial. I have seen the ratio of penalties called on the opposition vs those called on UA to reach an alarmingly high ratio, something like 21-0. What's bad is that they called the same thing 6 times in a row.

We drove the ball to the rim, and outrebounded the shite out of Florida. They chise to chuck 30 motherfricking 3 point shots rather than attack the rim.

Refs do suck but not the reason the Jorts squad lost.

Lastly, LMAO at LSU fan talking about refs....AGAIN!!! and in basketball no less!!!

UK definitely outrebounded UF and UF is missing Egbunu's presence badly but our offense changed since our guards got into foul trouble very early. Hill, Allen and even DRob like to drive to the rim a lot but they had early fouls.

UF attempted 30 3pters but UF attempted 71FG in total while UK attempted 53 total.

And on CBS's shot chart stats it says:
quote:

Kentucky Wildcats
Field Goal Selection
Layups: 8-19
Jumpers: 11-29
Dunks: 5-8
Scoring Breakdown
FGs: 24-53
3FG: 6-14
FT: 22-27

quote:

Florida Gators
Field Goal Selection
Layups: 11-23
Jumpers: 13-45
Dunks: 4-6
Scoring Breakdown
FGs: 26-71
3FG: 10-30 FT: 4-6

So yes, they did get in the paint and did try to drive. And our defense is experienced. This team has played together for the past 2 years, barring Barry, and is one of the top defenses in the country for defending without fouling. On KenPom, UF ranks 32nd for Offensive FTRate while UK is 58th. And the adjusted defensive efficiency for UF's opponents this year is 7th while Kentucky's is 24th. So even when facing better defenses, UF is able to drive to the basket and gets to the FT line more than Kentucky. For defensive FTRate, UF only ranks 130th but UK is 145th. All of this just shows that a FT differential of 27-6 is an extreme outlier over the course of UK and UF's seasons. It isn't ridiculous to say UK got a favorable whistle yesterday.
