Don't worry. It's all up-hill after this preview on Kentucky.

In case you're wondering ... Kentucky won't get better and they won't duplicate their 9-3 record from 2018.

Shocker.

But, they'll get a decent bowl game (for Kentucky) and only lose one more game than they did last season. That *might* be shocking.

Kentucky goes 8-4.

Kentucky loses to:

Florida by 21+ The Gators start a new streak against the Wildcats.

Georgia by 28+

Mississippi State by 10+

Mizzoo by 21+ Yep, Mizzoo is going to surprise people like Tennessee will but not too much.

Not shabby at all really when you consider the team. Kentucky fans will get excited.

But nobody else will.

A tsunami is coming. Most fans of the great SEC teams of the last five seasons won't like it though but we'll talk about all that later.

Discuss if you like but nobody really gives a frick about Kentucky. I get it.

God bless.

You, clearly, give a “frick”.

You have a lot of huge losses for Kentucky. They might very well lose those games but I think they lose them a lot closer then you suggested.

I'm expecting somewhere from 8-4 to 10-2. Will lose to Georgia, but everything else is in play. Will screw up and lose 2 games we have no business losing.

Who hurt your feelings little fella?

There's a lot of superfluous name calling for an alleged adult.

I would say 8-4 is fair, and a 9 win regular season is not out of the question. Tag on a post season Bowl win for at least a 9 win season.

I would venture to guess that the majority of folks on this board are more a fan of UK athletics than your school. FWIW.

Hater.

10-3.

And I'd bet every dollar that I own that Missouri doesn't come to Lexington and beat us by 21+.

I can’t imagine going 8-4 but getting drilled by the 4 but who knows. There’s quite a bit of confidence in the fan base and one can see some of it on display in this very thread. Having said that, I’m not sure from where this confidence emanates. We lose a ton. No doubt Stoops has added depth to the roster and I have a lot of faith in him and his staff. Still, I just can’t possibly see putting on much pressure in a season with this much change. I believe I saw our over/under at 6.5. I wouldn’t touch it there in either direction.

We can agree to disagree. I think the confidence emanates from the fact that we play an incredibly favorable schedule with perhaps the deepest team we've had in the Stoops era.

Offensively, Benny Snell was a fan favorite and a record-setter due to him being thrust into action before our program had turned the corner. That said, I'm not sure we miss a beat offensively. Defensively, who knows? Could be better, could be slightly worse. That variable keeps me from thinking we will win 10 games again but I'd be shocked if it stays at 6.5 when the season rolls around.

I look at it this way.

Georgia is a loss.
Florida is probably a loss at home.

The big moment of the season will be the back to back road games at MSU and USC. Lose one, eh, lose both, and I could see us losing a couple of more that we shouldn't. We really shouldn't lose either of those, but we probably will.

We lost some monster talent for sure in Allen and Snell, but have more depth, and some really seasoned players on offense and defense. I don't think 10-2 is that much of a stretch, but I could also see it spiraling to 6 wins if we struggle with MSU and USC.

We lost a monster talent in Allen and a monster gamer in Snell. Talent-wise, I think Snell can be replaced immediately. And I loved the guy. Heck, I bought my son a jersey with "26" on it. But he wasn't the fastest or strongest.

This year’s UK team will be doing well if they go 7-5. Lost too much from last year, esp. defensively. The defense and one RB put the entire team on their back last year.

If this staff has proven one thing, it is that they can develop. I'm confident this will continue.

What they do a great job is getting guys with a chip on their shoulder. Our roster is now filled with talent that was given early offers from the likes of Ohio State and Michigan. Our run defense should be markedly improved over last year. With Pascal returning to action, McCall and Bohanon both returning, and the interior LB core returning, I feel confident with our defense to start the season.

Don't know what to tell you except put that money on UK if you really believe it.

1. UK's defense will be worse than last year.

2. Mizzoo will be a lot better than you think esp. offense.

3. Mizzoo will look good coming into Lexington (they will be 5-1 at that point) - UK will be mostly demoralized at 3-3 and 3-4 after this game.

But go ahead with your bet.

The Florida Kentucky game has been close the past few years. You’re crazy if you think Florida wins by 21
