Bama is a historically 9 win program. Don't be an idiot.

that’s the $49 million dollar question. He’s going back to calling the plays this year, we’ll see how it goes.

Somebody is trying really really hard to convince himself that JUCO defenses are JUST LIKE SEC West defenses.

Auburn will do fine this year, Gus is the play caller/game planner for offense and he has many weapons on the O to run his scheme. They are up shite creek if one of those Olinemen get injured, but the defense will be top shelf again this year.

It would be the exception rather than the rule if one or more didn't get hurt. It's a line of scrimmage league...Something Gus has never figured out.

Most Auburn people I know really like Gus as a person and want him to succeed, but do not have the confidence that he has the chops.

Plausible.

ETA:

The thing I like about AU fans, we own our team. We don't claim to be Bama while going 0-25 against them like LSU, UT, and UGA.

They had no experience with Cam Newton or Nick Marshall either. Your theory is flawed.

Nick Marshall was a cornerback at Georgia before Gus made him a Quarterback. Miracle at Jordan Hare B**ch!

Yeah, and that one win per year is the difference between 10-15 NCs and 2. It’s 120 more wins since 1900. Enjoy mediocre and your once every 50 year run to a NC.

You must be a big fan to not know that Marshall had 37 touchdowns and 4,237 yards when Garden City CC make him a QB.

I'm trying to convince you a fact.

They were not first year players nor were they first year starters.

Whether you understand facts is up to you.

I was just correcting your factually incorrect statement.

Cheers.

All kidding aside, the UGA-AU game is always a toss-up, no matter the records, where it's being played, etc. Fans on both sides can NEVER count on the game as a sure win--too many spooky upsets have happened in the history of this game.

Any UGA fan that will be honest about it will admit that the AU game each year is the one that makes them more nervous than any other, even when AU is in a down year.

You do realize that if Auburn used bama math, Auburn could "claim" upwards of 10 NC's?

I have zero problem not inflating the total. I was alive when bama doubled their NC total overnight. bama fans are the only people, media included, that actually buys that BS.

You have no clue about Nick Marshall's football history, do you?

Then, what's your excuse for losing to us in the series so far, 59-56-8, and for being behind in the series for most of the years since the series began in 1892 (Deep South's Oldest Rivalry)?

AU dominated the series from 1892 to 1927....from 1928 to 1963 UGA had the lead, AU tied it in '64, led in '65, and UGA tied it '66, took the lead in '67 and led up to 1987.

In 1988, AU took the lead in the series until 2015 when UGA regained the lead and leads today, 59-56-8. The series has always been close, but UGA's led most of the way.

So lets do a little math.

UGA has won something like 8 of the last 10, correct? Well then your statement doesn't hold water.

In fact, UGA has won 11 of the last 14. This means that until 14 years ago, in a series that dates back to 1892, Auburn had a sizable lead in the series.

ETA further fact, in the 13 decades the game has been played, Auburn has won the decade 9 times......but don't let facts get in the way.

Auburn is something like 2-8 vs UGA in the last decade, what makes you think Gus will be gone if he loses to UGA?

Watch what happens this season if shite goes south & Gus loses 2-3 games. He will promise to "turn this thing around" and he'll have built in excuses because he'll be building for the future with his young QB's. He'll leverage the stability of the recruiting class to squeeze out another year and the Admin will agree because that buyout is still astronautical at $26MM.

Auburn's AD is making budget cuts, it would be in bad form to shite can the football staff with buyouts while the other programs are having to pinch pennies.
