Auburn will have wins against these teams:
Oregon
Tulane
Kent St.
Miss St.
Arkansas
Samford
and no one else except maybe ... whoever they play in the Birmingham Bowl.
From Auburn's own fans:
We are tired of losing.
We are tired of hearing about great practices.
We are tired of being told that "the future is bright" or "next year."
We are tired of excuses.
Any reasons why this prediction is wrong? I'd love to hear them.

They should have a close to great football team this year which will play harder and practice just as hard as anyone. And they have retired the trophy for home field advantage where they play UGA then UA this fall.
Your post is wildly off base. They are not as gifted as Bama but what else is new. They are not as talented as UGA but that has not stopped them from winning in the past. They are however, far more experienced where it counts, on the OL and DL, than both and have a tremendous defensive front. They are capable of winning eery game they play but I doubt they do.

Y’all leave Gus alone. He never did nuthin’ to nobody. Leave him right where he is.

I think this could be one of those out-of-nowhere-west-champs type of season for Auburn.
It could also be a 6-6 type of season.
You just never know with Gus

Your forgetting one thing, they have no experience at the QB position.
We have seen what happens to Auburn, with bad QB play.

Auburn only wins when there's nothing to lose.
So ... are they hyped to win? Yes? Then there's your answer.

That’s about as wrong as can be. We’ll be 2-10 and be lucky to have beat Samford and Kent State.

Yes, because Freshmen Quarterbacks have proven they can't win big. Just ask Jalen, Tua, and Lawrence.

They have lost to UGA 8 times in the past 10 seasons. Every excuse in the book has stopped Auburn from winning in the past.

There is no excuse for losing to UGA. That's one of the reasons Gus will be gone soon.

Everytime someone predicts Auburn to go 7-5/6-6 their power grows.
Don't you idiots ever learn?

You think Auburn is going to beat Mississippi State but lose to Ole Miss at home?

It's a typical Auburn year...with better than average QB play we will contend in the West and win 10 games or more.
If the QB play is young and inconsistent then we will win 8 maybe 9 games with an upset and we will lose a game to some decent team we should have won. The entire fanbase will continue to be frustrated and we will enter 2020 with an experienced QB but new OL and DL across both fronts to rinse and repeat.

Auburn will probably go 8-4 or maybe 9-3 if they can beat either UGA or Alabama at the end of the season.
They will have one of the best, if not the best, defensive lines in the country. I don't know much about their linebackers and defensive backs, but if they are decent at all then Auburn will have top-notch defense good enough to keep them in most games if the offense doesn't leave them out to dry with a bunch of 3-and-outs like at times last year.
They have decent young WRs and mediocre/decent RBs who will be able to make plays if given the opportunity. Their offensive line was putrid at times last year but got better as the season went on, and they are returning alot of those guys. They will either have a RS Freshman or true freshman quarterback, so who knows about that until the games start.
Like a lot of teams, the big unknowns that will determine how they will do this year are their offensive line and quarterback.

Not denying you have a valid point about QBs in general but, oddly enough, the last 3 times Auburn has won the West (2010, 2013, and 2017) Auburn did it with first-year QBs.

When Auburn is perdicted to be good they suck. And when they perdicted to suck they good.

In 2017 we were predicted to be good and finished 10-4 with loses to ranked opponents including two playoff teams and 3 teams that finished in the top 5. Oh yea, Auburn won the west that season also. In 2010 we were picked to win the SEC by several media types and Herbie picked us as dark horse National Champs. So the narrative doesn't really work anymore.
In reality Auburn plays consistently the toughest schedule in the SEC and has for decades and our margins are razor thin. The difference between 11 wins and 8 wins is pretty small.
