He’s been drafted as a Sophomore and Junior and is now returning as a Senior.
How is he able to get drafted 3 times when I thought only twice it was possible since you have to play 3 years before you are draft eligible....

There isn’t a limit to how many times you can be drafted. Guess he really likes Starkville.

The basic categories of players eligible to be drafted are:

High school players, if they have graduated from high school and have not yet attended college or junior college;

College players, from four-year colleges who have either completed their junior or senior years or are at least 21 years old; and

Junior college players, regardless of how many years of school they have completed

The same reason that Jake Slaughter would be drafted 3 times if he stayed till he was a senior.

You can be drafted as a sophomore if you’re 21 at the time of the draft or will be 21 within a certain number of days after the draft. It’s why Jake Slaughter got drafted this year.

Reid Schaller from Vandy got drafted as a redshirt freshman. Technically he could get drafted 4 times

I mean technically, wouldnt it be possible to get drafted out of high school, go juco and get drafted as a freshman, go to lsu as a soph and get drafted because of that age loophole, and then get drafted as a junior and senior for 5 times?

Did he play high school ball at age 19?

Parents hold him back to get bigger for sports?

Pics of his mom?

Yes there it.

You can be drafted out of high school, but if you go to college, you can only be drafted after your Junior season, unless you turn 21 before July as a sophomore.

You can't under any circumstance be drafted after your freshman year.

That’s only if you get drafted out of high school and decide to go play for a college team.

Apparently some players go the JUCO route if they aren’t happy with their signing bonus bc w/JUCO you can leave the next season as opposed to going to a regular college forces you to play for 2-3 years before being eligible again.
