It's basically impossible to have had a worse decade as a prominent program and A&M had an all time type player in Johnny Manziel and paid $75M for a coach.

What gives?

If anything we’ll simply demote Tennessee and go to 5. Sure as hell will not invite A&M

If anyone replaces Tennessee it won’t be A&M, besides we are finally swimming towards the shore.

Texas A&M is 6th All Time in total wins amongst SEC teams. Unfortunately for you guys it’s Florida that is below us.

Tennessee has two national titles that are more recent than Texas A&M's one title won back in the '30s. And as bad as Tennessee has been this century, they've been pretty equal to Texas A&M.

Since 2000:

Weeks in the AP Poll:
Tennessee- 127
Texas A&M- 121

Top 25 Finishes:
Tennessee- 7
Texas A&M- 4

The Aggies have just one Top 10 finish since 1995..... its going to take a lot more than that to overcome the overwhelming lead that Tennessee has on them as a program.

Texas A&M needs at least one National Championship and about a decade straight of Top 10 finishes.... basically what Florida accomplished in the 1990s.... in order to join the group. Even then they'd still be at the back of the pack. But that would be a start.

Maybe we should let them get back to 10 wins first (even if they're trending the wrong way under Jimbo).

This is bad even when I consider that as a Florida fan it's your god given right to troll Tennessee.

LSU
Bama
Auburn
UGA
UF
Tennessee

Are the only schools in the conference to win a SEC championship game.

This is the criteria for the Big 6.

TAMU's best season since joining the SEC is the kind of season the rest of us melt over.

They never will... AM is a second tier athletic program in all aspects and probably will be for the foreseeable future...

This is the criteria for the Big 6.

Those are also the only schools to win an SEC title the last 43 years. It's been a LONG time since anyone else in this conference has won the conference. And honestly, the only reason Kentucky has a shared title in 1976 was because State was later forced to forfeit their win against Kentucky, retroactively awarding Kentucky a shared title. The last time another school won the conference title by winning their way to one was Ole Miss in 1963

Until this past season, it was better than every season LSU had since 2011.

The don’t possess the DNA and legacy of Tennessee. They have never done enough to have significant swag.

If Tennessee doesn’t improve soon there may no longer be a Big 6.

and many LSU fans melted over every season since 2011 until this year. Not really refuting any talking points there. And that 2012 season from A&M was one of three seasons A&M has finished ranked since they joined the SEC and the only season they've finished with fewer than 4 losses..

And still lost to LSU in the best year they have had in the conference. LSU, even in the “dark years” from 2011 through 2017 was ranked no worse than 22, and A&M managed to rank higher than LSU since joining the conference only one time.
