I know, I bet every time they award it to someone else, he just sits there and laughs his arse off on the inside knowing full well he is the GOAT.

He should have had a great argument for sec coty. The regular season hasn't looked like that in 130 years.

Hell... kirby only had 1 first team AP all conference. He should have gotten more consideration.

Saban built this machine from spare parts Shula left on the floor.

There was no losded deck.

Kirby walked into a loaded deck at UGA.

Go take a look at our 2013 recruiting class.

Our best senior in 2016... was a grad transfer that played backup at Bama.

To paraphrase Cecil Hurt ... “... the coach of the year award goes to the coach who happens to find a unicorn in the woods. I doubt Coach Saban is interested in running the unicorn farm.”

Great coaches rarely get those awards.

This is such a chicken shite excuse. Recruiting is a massive part of college football....why do we just throw it out of the discussion when talking about coaching?

Things can change in a heartbeat. As in life ends at any moment. I think down the road when he retires, or passes away, people will point to how he dominated, yet was not rewarded in this regard. Things like this can tarnish awards like this. It's like they just take for granted he's on another level.

Because most of the fans on this board are ignorant of what makes a successful college football program. Personnel is everything. Without personnel, you can't win at a high level consistently. Sure, you'll have a good team every now and then, but you won't be able to maintain at that level for very long. That's the difference between a Nick Saban and a Bill Snyder.

No he didn’t. Our senior class was putrid. Our OL was terrible. We had no wrs. We didn’t have a qb.

Now suddenly, Kirby doesn’t get mentioned for coaching awards either. Same reason saban doesn’t.
