How good was T Lawrence this year?

Mike is laying out a convincing argument that he's the greatest freshman QB to have ever played. After the last two weeks, it's hard to argue otherwise.
Getting him was like winning the lottery for Clemson.

You think anyone here cares about this because....?

Lawrence is a phenom. No doubt about it. He is going to win lots of games, championships, and individual awards at Clemson. @ Kelly Bryant for thinking he was better.

Looked pretty great everytime I saw him. He's the total package.

Probably the greatest drag queen in college football history

I can't name another true freshman QB who was as good as Lawrence has been this year.

B/c it is rare for a true freshman QB to actually play.

Sorry.
I should have been more sympathetic, since Lawrence not only spurned UGA, but you also got so excited about Fields, who also told Kirby to pound sand.
Wasn't trying to rub it in.

TL looked great.
Is a lot closer to Cam, Manziel, Tebow status than Tua.

He's great. One of the highest rated recruits in history.
But Mike Greenberg doesn't know shite about college football, Lawrence doesn't play in the SEC, and this is an SEC message board

Jeez you guys are sensitive like damn women. Who gives a shite honest answer was above and giving the fact he beat Bama in their “Peakness” arguably the best dynasty ever and shamed them in true Frosh year says he is towards the tops in my book .

Didn't look all that great against A&M. Bryant bailed Clemson out in that game.

In this current age of football I wouldn't say so.
and it's only going to change.
More and more of these kids going to come in and play ASAP. The talent gap between 5 star QBs and college football has gotten very small.

To be fair to them, they are just looking for a consistent above average player.

Was Hunter Johnson just not that good?
Where is he now?

quote:Yep. Zero weaknesses in his game. Can throw the fastball or float it with just the right amount of touch. Can thread the needle or throw his receiver open. Athletic enough to scramble and pick-up yards with his feet, and big enough to take hits from the DL. He actually took a pretty decent hit in the game Monday night from a big guy but he just stepped back and absorbed it, never even hitting the deck. It was pretty damn impressive.
He's the total package.

Northwestern. Likely to be their starter this year.

The fact that kids come in in January has changed things a lot also. They have eight months to get ready for the season opener.
