Most of their offensive line are seniors, Mond will be gone, and there are a few draft-worthy players otherwise. What’s the expectation record wise, Aggies?

And two of them might come back.

We will be good, thanks. The next QB is way more talented than Mond, and a lot of our talented underclassmen will have more experience. Supplement that with some senior leadership from a few that return. Most of the talent on the current team is young, and the backups will be more of the same.

Maybe a little rocky at the start, but by the end of the year we will be playing well.

Hocker (starting RG) - near certain
McCollum (starting C) - 50/50

Others rumored to take a COVID mulligan:

Peevy (SR NT)
Hansford (SR LB)
Jones (SR CB)

If all of them return we lose 3 starters on offense (Kellen Mond, Dan Moore, Carson Green) and 1 on defense (Buddy Johnson)

Well. We’ll again be top ten in terms of talent with one of the deepest and most disruptive DLs in the country. 3/4 of our secondary will return, and the young LBs replacing Johnson and Hansford are high end four stars with a lot of promise.

Offense is more uncertain. The best RB in the conference will return, as will Anias and Achane to round out a lethal backfield. The interior OL will be nails, but we’ll have to see what happens at tackle. Future first rounder Kenyon Green will likely slide out to take one of those spots.

Receiver is more of an unknown. Lots of weird shite happening at that position, but we’ll once again have the best TE in the conference and likely the country.

Haynes King at QB will be a more dynamic and accurate Mond with a lot more confidence and ability to lead. Still needs to develop, but we like where he is.

This is what the Rant tells me LSU fans were saying in early 2020

LSU was replacing Burrow, while we are replacing Mond. Not even CLOSE to the same situation

So what’s a good expectation for final record? 9 wins?

Here’s the schedule:
Kent State
@ Colorado
New Mexico
Arkansas
Prairie View
@ LSU
@ Mizzou
@ Ole Miss
Alabama
Auburn
Miss State
South Carolina

The difference is that A&M loses AT MOST 4 offensive and 4 defensive starters. No coaches unless Elko gets a HC job he really wants (he has turned down Temple, Rutgers and 4 others since being at A&M)

LSU also had a lot of coaching turnover with no spring practice
