How does it feel for AU fans knowing you will have to win in spite of your QB play

No troll here as LSU had this problem for about a decade. Auburn's defense is probably the best in the country but Nix is just awful. Do yall think he will progress as he gets older or will he be a 4 year starter completing 40% of his passes against good teams? I really feel for yall here.

Watch this kid turn into a fricking Heisman candidate tomorrow.

Cam Newton, he is not.

He went 15/35 against LSU and would've thrown 2 pick 6's if he weren't so terribly inaccurate. Im just worried for AU fans that they're stuck with him for 3 more years. This is the risk in starting a "legacy" from day 1 especially at QB. It will be really tough for him to lose his job no matter how bad he plays.

I am actually reasonably confident Bo will develop into an above avg SEC QB

What have you seen that makes you feel that way?

He will. These mouth breathers have only seen him play once this year.

I wouldn't judge a Freshman QB so hard in this Conference.
Only elite QB's can shine sometimes in this conference as a Freshman.
He will definitely get better, how much better is the question.

Idgaf about those rankings. No team in the country has a better defense. Remember, UGA was top 5 and unranked SC beat that arse

I've watched several AU games and he's shown zero signs of progressing

I know he is a freshman, but I've still been a little shocked at his poor play.
I would say we will know more about him next year, but we have nothing coming back on the O line. Could be another rough year.

South Carolina did this. Pick 6 gave them half of their TDs.

Yep...UAB, San Diego etc....all have better defenses than Auburn...or could the level of competition faced make a difference ?

While he has played terrible football at times, he has shown flashes of excellent QB play against lesser competition.
To me, context is everything for him. I don't think a true freshman has ever been asked to perform at such a high level against such difficult competition their first year of college ball anywhere. Auburn has one of the most difficult schedules in the country this year.
Considering all of that, I am somewhat pleased with:
12/6 TD/Int
1,798 yards passing
+50% completion percentage
I truly thought those three statistics would have been considerably worse when I heard Bo was starting Game 1...
Edit: compare those numbers to our passing offense coming into the Georgia game in 2015:
7/8 TD/Int
1,712 yards passing
+59.3% completion percentage
Thank you Jeremy Johnson and Sean White...

Wrong. We cannot win in spite of our quarterback play. Either he plays as well as he did against the Mississippi schools (quite well) or we don’t win against Georgia or Alabama. Period.

Don't forget Buffalo!

The same way it’s felt for LSU the previous ten years before burrow.

Georgia has faced all backup quarterbacks this year that’s why they’re highly ranked
