How does Alabama get away with hiring so many assistants?

Definitely impressive that Saban has been able to use “off the field” coaches in his program. Technically you’re not allowed to use them to recruit, but we all know that’s what they’re doing

They save money by not paying a bunch of ex-coaches their buyouts.

Same way we get away with paying the SEC refs,paying all of the other refs, paying players, paying the NCAA, and paying the SEC offices.

The better question is why the hell doesn't your $49mm coach do the same? The man needs all the help he can get and he's too obtuse to acknowledge it.
