How did Bama become this dominant?

I mean, this is the same level of dominance that the Warriors are on, if not moreso.
I know this begins and ends with Saban. But he was coming off of mediocrity with the Dolphins.
It amazes me how quickly every other program has been rendered damn near irrelevant in a national sense. I’m equally stunned that the team never has true down games, or even a down year.
After they won in 2009, there were still enough great teams to help knock them off in 2010. After 2011, it just seemed like those days are gone.
It’s crazy that not one other team can get the depth they have.
In basketball, it seems like the great players chase rings and go to Golden State if they can. Is that similar mentality permeating CFB recruiting? I can’t blame high school kids for wanting a ring, so it’s no knock on them.
I’m just wondering how the gap between Bama and everyone else became this big.

having #1 recruiting classes or near #1 for 10 years and having the structure in place to develop that talent.

Somehow convince every 5 star to come to your school.

If you don't develop them and balance the egos, it will blow up in your face.
See: Urban Meyer's final years at Florida.

At Bama football is God. You can have anything you want being on the team. If you actually get playing time you have a solid chance at the NFL = paychecks.
If one or two of Bama's players went to a weaker program they'd have a high chance of being overused/get injured.

The only school that comes to mind that MAY have the right combination of money and Coach is TAMU. And I think Jimbo has shown that he can’t approach Saban’s abilities.
Dabo is a great one, but I don’t see Clemson as having similar money and resources.

They sacrifice their first born child.

They'd even be more dominate if they offered a kicker! But you do need to be 15 deep at LB too so I understand

Lack of good coaches. Sec used to have spurrier, urban, miles etc.

95% of the teams bama plays never have a chance. They simply don’t have the talent to matchup.

this... and it's really not hard when you can pretty much guarantee that they will play for a natty at least once or twice during their time there.

And that was just because half our team was injured most of the year.
