Damn, this is a pretty low effort troll, even for you sidewalk. As someone “with a job covering CFB” you should certainly know that once all 6-6 teams are invited to bowls, if there are spots not filled they will go to 5-7 teams and go with ones that have a higher team gpa or some such. It is not shocking that a school like Rice, would collectively have players with better GPAs than us. But you knew that…..

Rice Quiz team may have been down this year but as a frequent competitor in the Quiz Bowl the committee probably let them slide in. They still talk about that upset of Princeton in 73'. Pretty impressive as the player appeared to have fallen into a deep slumber but still answered correctly in perfect Latin.

I wanted to get in on drubbing A&M (like everyone else), then I saw this. First bowl game of the season. It was a good one
