Is this the year jimbo earns that paycheck? Y'all split the two toughest games on your schedule so far... win against UF and loss to a1abama. Looking good for jimbo, but will he be hogging this weekend?

Pretty confident. Not enough offense to hang with Playoff level teams but pretty solid still. If we had an elite QB this year..., yikes.

I think he earns his paycheck if we win out. Every team is beatable.

I'd be disappointed with another loss but it wouldn't be unexpected. Losing 2-3 more? He'd have a lot to answer for.

Pittman has done a very good job getting the most out of what he has to work with at Arkansas, but I don't think this matchup will suit the Hogs. A&M should be able to run the ball and do to the Hogs what UGA did in the second half of their game at Fayetteville. As long as we don't turn it over, the more talented team will probably win.

As to the rest of the season, it would be nice to win out, but I have a hard time seeing us not trip up once. We can beat everyone left on the schedule, but we could also lose any of those games if we don't play our A game. LSU is a real wild card with their QB situation, and who knows what kind of officiating voodoo Malzahn has left in his bag for the final game at Auburn.

It’s really not about Jimbo. Our quarterback has just never become who we had hoped he’d be.

If he plays good? 9 wins maybe 10

If he continues to herp and derp ? 8 wins maybe even 7

I think the next two years could be very good with the recruiting and the change in quarterback but we’ll just have to wait and see

1. Jimbo is currently the 3rd highest paid coach in the SEC West. The obsession with how much money he makes is such a lazy talking point

2. As of now A&M should be favored in every game the rest of the way. However, we could also lose any game the rest of the way. While the program is headed in the right direction, the margin of error is still not high enough to overcome not playing our best. My guess is A&M trips up once and finishes 8-2

Some of that has to come back on Jimbo though, especially considering his background

Can't wait for the aggie melt when they choke in November like always. Its really funny how aggie think they're a top team after upsetting an overrated Florida team it will only make the melt better

I love how everyone seems to think we can't defend the run. It's like you give up rushing yards when you drop 8 or something.

You only average 2.25 TDs & 1 FG per game offensively. 17 ain't gonna cut it. 24 likely won't either.

So, if you do stack more in the box to slow the run, I'm guessing your turnover magic will disappear. We shall see what happens...can't wait!

Mississippi State ran an 8 man front against A&M. Spiller and Smith tore them up.

Spiller has been really under the radar this year. Leading SEC in ypc at 6.72. Only other back over 6 is Najee Harris with 6.02. Spiller is also leading in yards after contact average per run. He also leading in percentage of rushes that go for 10+ yards.

Will be interesting to see how Arkansas defense does this week with that in mind. Their pass defense has been very good, but not so much in rush defense. (1st and 12th respectively in the SEC per attempt). Now, that may be different if they sell out to stop A&M’s run game which is a much larger consistent threat than Mond.

I’m really upset COVID fricked up A&M’s perfect schedule.... really wanted to see them lose 3-4 with no excuses....
