How can football players sleep at night before these huge games?

I’m getting jittery already and the game doesn’t actually affect me either way. It’s always been impressive to me that athletes can perform at such a high level for these big games.

Maybe that’s just because I have insomnia issues and get 2-3 hours of sleep when I’m anxious about something.

A lot of them don't. They will have a late wake up call tomorrow. There is also some nap time during th pregame stuff. I have insomnia but usually fall right to sleep....about 30 minutes before I have to get up.

athletes at that level aren't affected by the big stage.

Its an element that makes them top tier athletes.

Maybe it's because they get it for what it is. Just a game. Besides half the players on both teams know they've got a big contract with lots of money headed their way regardless of outcome.

I think they spend less time obsessing than fans. They're also used to the pressure.

I'm sure they have quality coitus with a pretty coed? Or at A&M a hearty corps cadet? Then go to sleep peacefully?

Idk, OP but good question, have an upvote.

Bama players play in these type of games all the time. Auburn players might be up all night, but Bama players will sleep well.

Hefty amounts of jerking off and a warm bath can calm down any nerves.

If I’m a head coach I’m getting my team spank stalls so they can handle their business the night before

lol, enlighten me oh wise one of the board.

they get nervous but they perform on the big stage. it's what separates a badass from just a good athlete.

why don't you share your thoughts on the subject instead of call me an "idiot".
