been wanting one for many years. sucks that people don't have to earn their spot in the title game. let's put the 8 best teams on the field and see what happens. maybe the most talented team or most deserving team doesn't end up with the crystal ball at the end of the playoff (the 07 Patriots were certainly more talented and had a better resume than the Giants) but at least they would earn it on the field and not based on public opinion.

dont want one. i like the bowls and i dont believe more than 4 teams a year really deserve a shot.

the plus one would be as far as I would want to go. The bowls provide a lot of incentive for players and money for schools. Making an 8 team playoff and doing away with the bowls would take a lot of revenue out of college football.

They can use the 4 BCS bowls as a format for a playoff. It would be an 8 team bracket based on BCS rankings. From there, we can determine the winner on the field.
