How bad did Jamie Newman screw UGA over?

Kinda hard to fathom. And he’s not a guy who will be drafted on the first day, IMO. Potentially cost himself millions of dollars and cost his would-be team an opportunity to be elite.
He lacked the chest to compete in this league.

Not as bad as that racist baseball player

Agreed. Still, how did Kirby get in this situation with how well he recruits?

Chose Jake Fromm over Justin Fields and then handed the keys to the program over to a transfer from Wake Forest, who Kirby thought would bail him out.

I mean Kirby thought Dwan Mathis should’ve been the starter over Stetson. When the bullets starts flying you find out what’s what, but this is just a gotcha post by you right?

Allegedly, the UGA defense made him look like shite in practice.

Not sure how this is a gotcha post to anyone but a Jamie Newman, who is a cowardice loser that cost a talented team a shot at being elite - just as I laid out in the OP.

He lost the job, he wasn’t going to be the starter. So he left. You assume you know he was going to be the starter lol

But yeah, he selfishly quit on his team.
He never really had a team to quit on. He got beat.
ETA: proof will be he won’t get drafted

Didn't other fan bases say, on this very forum, that Newman would prove to just hype once he faced SEC defenses? Well, it proves true in Georgia's practices

Here's a scratcher. If Kirby stayed with that kid in the 1st game of the season, Arkansas likely wins or at least keeps it within winning distance. Makes you wonder about the mind of Smart and why he's not going to reverse the 1980 curse.

Meh. I mean Alabama was ready and would have beaten us with Newman. No use point at Newman. You whipped us. Hopefully we can get our act together, stop reading newspaper clippings (Are those a thing anymore?) make it back to the SECCG and do better. We will see.

He will be a first day pick

This is a transistion year for us anyway. Like all decent teams we have big hopes til the first loss but others were right. New OC, QB, OL, OL coach, etc. We don’t have the build on offense to win it. We recruit a lot of 5 stars, but lack the right guy in the most important position. Newman wasn’t that guy either. Maybe Fields was, but that ship has sailed long ago.

You’re right, doesn’t have the chest.
