With an unusual amount of turnover last year, there are presumably at least five, maybe six, coaches that are immune from firing: Morris, Mullen, Jimbo and Pruitt (maybe Luke).

Saban and Smart are fire-proof. Muschamp is solid.

Who has the hottest seat in the SEC right now?

I think it’s Stoops, followed by Mason, then Odom and then O.

What say you?

he's taken UK to back-to-back bowl games. That's happened 5 times since the 1950's. The answer is Ed Orgeron.

Orgeron is not going anywhere unless LSU wins less than 5 games.

I think Stoops has done all that he’s going to do at UK though. They’ve lost a lot of close games that they should have won.

I don't know man. The way some people in our fanbase are talking, if Saban doesn't start Tua against Louisville he may find a brick being thrown through his office window on Sunday morning - win or lose.

That’s my point. They are not getting better and may be worse this year. I think, though I know it’s an usual pick, that he gets fired after the season.

I don’t think LSU can afford to get rid of O this year, regardless of what happens.

Why is Barry Odom on the hot seat? Mizzou improved dramatically over the course of last season

O is good thru 2020. L7U doesn’t have the money to make a change now. (Unless they only win 3 or 4 games). Then they would go with hat in hand to A$M for a loan.

If we make a bowl game I think Stoops is safe. If we don't, I think you'll see Neal Brown or Mike Leach roaming our sidelines next Fall.

We return 16 starters from last year(18 if you count the bowl game) so he needs to take advantage of that.

Leach has got it rolling in Pullman. I know he's got ties to Kentucky, but do you really think he leaves to rebuild another program in a loaded SEC East? Neal Brown is a reasonable name to throw out there and I think it'd be a good hire.

I could honestly see Leach come here because he's crazy enough to do it. Of course he could also stay at WSU, and we may never even consider him.

I'm a big fan of Brown as well and think he'd take it if offered.

Zero chance O is getting fired in 2018, short of NCAA problems of course.

If LSU wins less than 8 games O's arse will be scorched from his seat

I think no one is in danger of being fired unless one of the big 6 schools have a gene Chizik type 2012 season.

1. Auburn and LSU owe their coaches too much money.
2. bammer and the leghumpers are happy.
3. UT and UF have new hires.

No other schools are important in football. They don’t really care to win the SEC and no one will notice them until they do.
