Dabo will destroy Notre Dame.

The Oklahoma game will not happen! The Sooner or Laters have rescheduled that game 4 times in the last 20 years.

I'm guessing by then, if football is still played, most schedules will be shitting towards this (or it'll just be the NFL super conference set up).

Saban will still be coaching in 2028. God help us all.

I don't think it's necessary though, especially for UGA. We haven't gone undefeated in SEC play since 1982. Looking at things rationally, there's a PRETTY GOOD chance that we are going to lose a game in the regular season just with the people that we already know we're forced to play. We have an automatic OOC game against a P5 opponent already that many other teams don't have. So now we're adding on another and sometimes TWO other difficult opponents. Wtf for? The reward for a grueling schedule is getting to then play bama in the SECCG, where if we win we then have 2 playoff games against 2 more elite opponents. It's stupid. UGA should adapt the model that made UF so successful for so many years...play the SEC schedule plus your ACC finale and load up on cupcakes the rest of the way.
The bottom line is you want to win as many games as possible. Making it intentionally harder on yourself simply doens't make sense. And yes, I'm fully aware that in a scenario that you have 2 teams that are simply dead neck and neck even at the end of the season a strong OOC game could be the decider. But the chances of that exact scenario playing out aren't nearly as likely as the chance of losing one of those games and removing yourself from contention entirely.

Meh, Game of Thrones is about to start the last season and I've already seen Auburn in the Final Four. No more reason to live past 2019 now iyam

Grad of the Vince Dooley School of Scheduling? This is why UGA did not play an OOC game outside of the South for FORTY THREE years. Played at Michigan in 1965 and then at Arizona State in 2008.

you realize that we have always played tech, right? And in the 70s and 80s had an almsot annual game wiht clemson, right?
For most of the time frame you mentioned we would play an SEC schedule plus tech and usually clemson. Sorry that our OOC games against stiff competition weren't far enough away to your liking.
