I agree with Bird 100%. If you dont like baseball thats fine keep it to yourself. You dont have to make it known that you dont like baseball and think its irrelevant.

Exactly. I could care less if you don't like baseball. But you don't have to scream it at the top of your lungs.
I like football more, but still love college baseball. Not a big MLB fan, and I'm a Giants fan since the 80's

As far as college goes, it's FAR behind football and basketball.
A few SEC schools would disagree with you.

I'd like the tourney to move to the new Regions Field in Birmingham. However, I think I read somewhere that there would be a hard time getting use of the stadium. The Barons don't want to share.

True.
I'm not a basketball fan at all, but I wish our fans cared more about basketball. Hopefully Jones will change that.
ETA: I totally realize I'm part of the problem.

Autozone's only negative is there is no where for RV's to park.

It's not as far below as it used to be. A lot of schools around the country are starting to invest more in their baseball programs. There are only so many ways they can spend all the TV money, and baseball's ROI is starting to get better and better every year.

explain the big picture to me. The facility is owned by the City of Hoover and I would doubt they would entertain selling and I am not sure the SEC is in the market to buy. But you can elaborate if you wish. Saying you see the big picture means nothing to me if you can't elaborate.

He thinks the SEC will buy it and build new offices in Hoover as part of an overall complex.
I think the person that said the SEC should move the offices to Atlanta were more correct. The SEC will not get into the stadium management business.

We were on the 7th floor of a parking garage at 4th and 18th in the middle of the day. That is pretty close to the stadium. Is that where you all want to park me at 8:30 on Tuesday morning for the first game? These downtown stadiums have no parking for day time games. The available parking around these stadiums assume night time or weekends. Y'all just get over it.
and Bham (Regions Field downtown) rotation

it has already been said that downtown bham will not be a candidate for the sec tournament due to seating standards not being enough.
This came from Gene Hallman in a live interview I was listening to about a month ago on a Bham sports talk show

why are you talking to me about memphis. I am in favor of keeping it at Hoover due to the centrality of things.
Posted on 5/26/13 at 7:29 pm to Diamondawg
Hoover will turn it into a sports complex before they let it be sold or get in disrepair. I imagine Hoover financially can afford to do that, but it makes zero sense for the SEC office to buy it and then do the upkeep just to host a tournament that another city may bid on in the future.
