Honest question for LSU fans

I remember Charlie Mac at LSU, he had some great teams. However he was run out of Baton Rouge because he could not beat Alabama.
Will you keep Coach O if he continues to have great teams but can not beat Alabama?
No troll, just asking....

How many coaches in college football are beating Alabama consistently?
Yes, we’re keeping O.
Yes, we’re keeping O.

this is his 2d year; I am blocking out the interim because he didn't have much of a chance to change Les miles offense.
come back with the question in another 3 years if he hasn't beaten them by then.

Only if Bama is the only game we drop.
Orgeron will outlast Saban in the age department.
And the way LSU is trending, we could very well take off.
But if the outcome is 11-1 , so be it. Itll get us in eventually.
All that said, LSU WILL topple Bama this year

who beats Alabama consistently?

1. Mac was NOT run out of BR because he could not beat alabama.
2. Mac was run out of BR because (a) His recruiting had fallen way off in the mid to late 70s; (b) several years we fell beneath 8 wins which was kind of as threshold back then; (c) we had losing seasons and lost to average teams too often; and (d) he refused to modernize his offense to the times.
3. Losing to alabama was bad but not fatal since they were in their hayday in that decade. Losing to Ole Miss and others was MUCH worse when we did it back then.

Charlie "only" lost to bama?

O can go 11-1 for the next decade and lose to Bama every year and still be in the playoffs most years. Losing to Bama right now isn't a huge deal with the playoff system.

No
He will get fired if he starts losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss just like Miles did

Charlie Mac wasn’t run out of BR, only because he couldn’t beat Bama. He never lost less than 3 games his last 7 years. He simply was never going to make LSU great. Had Bo Rein not died in a plane crash, LSU was poised to have a great run in the 80’s after Charlie MAC was fired.

I want him to bump his posts about Burrow in the red zone last year. That was his major talking point all off-season.

All i know is that we were a two TD favorite against Florida and thats something you just dont see.
LSU has gone in dry on everyone and isnt slowing down.
I want to keep him
