He feels it was a big wake up call in his life to get his act together and overcome any unwarranted feelings of inadequacy. Fair enough...alcohol can do strange things to good people. Sounds like your are still a student - best wishes to you for a successful school and post college career.

Having met Thomas first-hand a couple of times now, I truly believe he realizes what he did was extremely wrong and he is making effort to correct that mistake.
It's nice to have a conversation with an athlete who admits he isn't superman.
