In the last decade Belmont probably has more tourney experience than anybody in the league except Kentucky and Florida.

And haven't won a single one of them

I like Byrd but those guys have gotten more mileage out of winning a bunch of Atlantic Sun/OVC tournaments and nothing else than any other mid major ever.

And then lost in the tournament along with losing to Jacksonville State twice and Green Bay to go along with an out of conference SOS lower than almost the entire SEC/ACC/B12.

Bubble was trash so there's nobody that got screwed, but it's pretty laughable that the runner up from the NETs 24th best conference got in the NCAAT with their best OOC wins being over Lipscomb.

Something is wrong with Belmont’s approach to success. They need to find out how Gonzaga does it.

I hate that they call the first four the “first round” now. Bothers the hell out of me. Should be Round 0 or something. Downvote if you agree.

Well an OVC/Atlantic Sun team that doesn’t exactly get good seeding. Their seven tourney losses are to:

UCLA
Georgetown
Duke
Wisconsin
Georgetown
Arizona
Virginia

Can’t do much with that. Although ironically, Duke is the team they nearly beat.

And that's fine - it's a very good program - but people talk about them as if they have won multiple games on that list. Every year.

Their only win over a NCAAT quality P5 in the last 5-6 years even in the regular season was a 10 loss UNC team.
