Let’s pump the breaks on Heupel being great. He has a really good mature QB this season and is doing well. Let’s see how he does with the next QB. Sumlin, Chisick and Orgeron were prematurely great.

What if Harsin had Hooker?

So if you had to pick today, would you go with Heupel or Harsin?

Can’t blame an Auburn fan for thinking this way at the moment.

Heupel could be Gus 2.0. Good second year and then diminishing returns. Or he could be Spurrier and go on a historic offensive run.

Kiffin is better than Heupel

I feel like Kiffin could run just about any system with whatever talent he has. Heupel is married to what he does.

Hooker wasn’t Hooker until Heupel though

Correct. Nobody knows at this point. He is obviously doing well and headed in the right direction. Let’s see how he handles player and staff movement in the next couple of years before we anoint him anything.
But congrats to UT fans on a great season so far. I am jelly

That concerns me as well because of Gus. And that’s one reason I was ok with the Harsin hire originally because he wasn’t a system guy.

Wouldn’t matter. We don’t have an Oline. Hooker would be running for his life at Auburn. At least Heupel knows that.

Kiffin is good, but has he ever stayed anywhere? Seems to get itchy feet fast.

Either 20 to 30 pounds lighter or broken leg like Bo had. We have no OL that can block.

This.

Alabama's offense was drastically different each season Kiffin was there based around the personnel he was working with.

2014 - Feed Amari Cooper
2015 - Feed Derrick Henry
2016 - Run Jalen Hurts

Give Kiffin a stud at whatever position and he'll scheme up a way for them to over produce and cover up any glaring weakness elsewhere on offense.

I thought that's why auburn wanted him fired? Wasn't he screwing around with that hoe on his staff?
