It’s surprising they are paying that much in the current situation for a sport that will not cover it’s own expenses. Coaches salaries have gotten ridiculous.

It’s an argument about WBB. I know it’s important to some folks but State, you guys have a better coach in the 3 real sports

no. But South Carolina athletics are shite and have a shite AD. If LSU wanted to spend the money we’d take your coach, give her back, then take your coach again. This is laughable. There are tiers in the SEC when it comes to hiring:

How so? Texas just got rid of a coach who won 70% of her games and made the Sweet Sixteen every damn year. Knowing that, makes the job much harder.
Baylor alone makes the Big 12 legit. They’ve won the league damn near 10 years in a row and won National Titles in 05, 12, & 19.
He won a lot of games at State and will win around the same amount at Texas...but he will still have the king of the mountain to knock off in Baylor, just as he did in the SEC with Carolina.

What? Outside of the 2 important sports our athletic department on a whole is actually pretty solid. She gets to coach in front of 15k on average with pretty nice facilities and a big fat paycheck. A few years ago her own Alma mater - UVA - was eying her and she told them to pound sand. quote:
