Even though they accomplished nothing, it was still worth it.

There is no penalty to the school. A few coaches were harmed along the way, but green light has been given.

I bet bagmen across the south are already on the phones.

Just make sure it comes from "friends" who have spotted the student-athlete a $20 somewhere along the way. Right, Leo?

Who expected a MSU melt today?

I didn’t.

a 2 year bowl ban, scholarships losses, show causes and vacated wins isn't a slap on the wrist. I don't know where this narrative is coming from.

The NCAA has no function, effectiveness, or purpose. They are just a leech that sucks resources without offering anything in return.

It's one more bowl ban and seniors are the only ones who can transfer with no penalty. The others aren't a big deal

You are freaking insane. If MSU was just handed those penalties I would be furious and wanting the AD to be fired and shamed publically.

AJ Brown, Shea Patterson, Metcalf. All the really good players on our team aren't seniors

All players can transfer with a waiver from the NCAA. In most NCAA cases the student-athlete is granted the release.

If the NCAA was going to allow a mass exodus and not just seniors, i would imagine they would say so.

The waiver you referred to is when someone wants to transfer for family issues like one of our basketball players did a few years ago

That is false, everyone can transfer.

Yeah, this rule is applicable to family issues or medical reasons. This isn't some blanket gift the NCAA hands out.

The only true waivers that are granted are to players who will be affected by a bowl ban -- thus the seniors.

You guys are really trying to find some silver lining in all of this aren't you?

is this like the waiver that allowed Ole Miss to pay Tunsil's light bills?

I still think Shea transfer unless he feels NFL ready now.
